The Workshop Experience: by Katelyn James

Last year, around this time, when I first moved to Virginia is when I met my pal Katelyn James. If you have ever experienced Katelyn, you know that she is a powerful force of energy. Good things come from this girl. She is a very hard worker and super passionate about her life, clients, work and more. I love her. And you would too.

A few weeks ago, Katelyn held her Fall the Workshop Experience here in Richmond. I quickly jumped at the chance to be a part of this one. See, last year, I had to decline her invitation to the spring workshop (The Sugar Shoot), because I had other plans that day. March 19th, was a big day for me that year. I had a wedding in New Orleans, where I got to be the bride.

The morning of the workshop, which was held at the Virginia Center of Architecture, was a cold and misty one. I headed out to meet our bride, Annamarie, to get started on hair and makeup. Annamarie has the most beautiful (but very long and thick) hair. After we wrapped up hair and makeup, I followed Ryan and Annamarie to the Virginia Center for Architecture, where the workshop was already in progress. While the photographers took a break for lunch, we got the finishing touches together for the couple so they could be photographed.
