High Five for Friday

Photobucket

What is High Five for Friday?  Well, my fabulous friend, Shauna, brought this great blog (From My Grey Desk) into my life and she does this fun blog linking business where bloggers post their "High Fives for Friday". First of all, I love this blog and you will two and second, it is a great way to discover new blogs that you didn't know where there before. Win/Win!

So here is my High Five for Friday!

I am basically dedicating this to the entire month of March, which has been awesome.  I was a little skeptical of 2012, January had gotten me off to a pretty rocky start and February wasn't really doing it for me either.  Then came March and  turned my entire outlook  around. I see blue skies and fabulous possibilities ahead. So here we go....

#1. I hear the first year is the hardest.
But we made it! The Mr. and I celebrated our anniversary and first year of marriage by playing the "model" bride and groom for the Katelyn James Photography Workshop Experience.  We had so much fun. It was nice shift for me, but of course I insisted on doing the "bridesmaids" hair and makeup, and my own! It was so great meeting all the photographers that day. Here are some of their great blog posts from the day.

#2. Travels Make my Heart Sing.
April launches me into wedding season, where I work every weekend thru June. Then pretty much to the end of the year. In March we really let our hair down. We went to Park City, UT with friends to see family. Then to Charlottesville for our anniversary. Then I am off to Austin for a little girl time with two of my favorites this Saturday. Cant wait to see you girls!

Sunset from the hot tub!
I am excellent at snow walking!

St. Patty's Day Green Tea Time!
#3. Emily TV
If you are a fan on Facebook, and by this point, you better be! I hope that you have been enjoying the videos that I have been working on for YouTube. You see, I have been saying that I had intentions of starting YouTube tutorial for about 2 years. When I saw the L'Oreal contest, it launched be into high gear! You can see that here!
Then I submitted for the NYX Face Awards. I have until April 4th to get a many 'likes' on YouTube as possible. If your want people to like you, then you need to give them stuff, right? So, when he video gets to 500 likes, I will give away the products I used to create the look. You can enter by going to this link. Please share with friends!

#4. I LOVE my Job.
This month I have had some great opportunities. Just this week, I got to spend a day on set with a great friend of mine who I met at the gym when I first moved to Richmond.  We worked on a photo shoot that will feature her in Health magazine. Kimberly is a great lady, who is an incredible inspiration. I love you girl! Thanks for being a part of my life.

We wrapped the shoot early, because Kimberly is a rockstar and natural model. I begged her to take this fake "action shot" of her flexing her amazing arms while I spray her hair, so we can remember the day (our glory days) like this when we are 80 years old. She is a good sport to my crazy requests.
#5. Team Sparkle Horse
On Saturday, I will be participating in the Monument 10k. I do a few 5ks and 10ks a year when I have the opportunity but most of my Saturdays are committed. When my girlfriend, Tiffani, asked me to be a part of Team Sparkle Horse, I did not hesitate to fully commit.
Tiffani does not think I can run 6.2 miles with this fascinator  but I disagree.
Now, when my lovely husband (the actually runner in my household) asked me yesterday when was the last time I ran, and I said "I don't know!", he was beside himself in wondering how I had I prepared for this race. I explained to him that my outfit was phenomenal and my accessories were second to none so I was confident that I would be A-OK.  Stay tuned for a group photo of our "team". (*our team is not actually registered or recognized as a team, we are more of an informal gathering).

Since our original team was mostly just Tiffani and I, we somehow convinced these guys to join us so that we could have actual runners in the group. You can join them for a River Run (about 4-10 miles of trail) every Saturday morning.  The don't wear these outfits outside Halloween, unless you ask them nicely. Yes, afro man's shirt says, "I sweat sparklez"

 Awesome, right!

I will let you know how Team Sparkle Horse does in the race!

It was a long one, right? I know, I actually edited this list down because I wanted mention my love of St. Patrick's Day, my mama's birthday, Daylight Savings Time, and so much more. Maybe next time.
