Power Shopping at Hobby Lobby

Remember that video I posted about taking care of your airbrush machine? Well, if you didn't see that post,  you can go back and visit it since that crisis inspired this trip to Hobby Lobby.

So, there I was in Hobby Lobby, shopping for airbrush supplies, when of course I got distracted and ended up with a full on haul of things that I "needed".

If you are a Facebook fan, and Im seriously, you should be, you probably saw that I posted awhile ago that I had gotten a Zuca backpack. Then I never followed that up with a post. That is because I decide that it wasn't a good fit for me.  I was still on the search when I found this baby.
I just used if for the first time this weekend and its perfect! I love that it is lightweight, it rolls and it has many compartments. If you want me to show you how I packed it up with tools, I can do that in a separate post. Drop me a comment and I will work on that.

Now, you can see that it has some letter embroidered on the front. I think it says Paper Source or something like that. I found this in the stationary/scrapbooking department, which I have no business being in. I seriously just love to shop in any store, wander around looking at products. I may have a problem. Ideally, this would say Emily is Awesome but they didn't have one. Looks like I need to start my own collection. Coming soon.

My favorite thing about this was the price. It was $69 and I used one of those fancy 40% off coupons that you can always find for Hobby Lobby. You can even pull it up on your smart phone and they can scan it form the phone. Cool, right! Im not super good at math but 40% off of $69 is way better than $99+ shipping for the Zuca.

I got some other stuff too. I used this zippy box thing to organize my hair pins and such. Love it. Oh, and those little spin-like pins are the ones I used in this DIY Quick Side Updo video last week. Check them out in action here. I found them in the jewelry aisle. There was a reason I was there.

I think my friend Beatrix Bell (handcrafted jewelry genius) will be so proud of me for this. I fixed my own jewelry. Now usually I panic and call Bea for everything, just to make sure its done right.  A few months ago (yes, it takes me awhile to get things like this done), I was so upset that this bracelet broke and Bea told me that I just needed to get a jump ring and reattach the clasp. I didn't get there right size, so I will be going back this week, but I am taking steps in the right direction.

*Update, I did get the right size jump rings, I just haven't fixed the bracelet yet.
Ok, so that was not a complete success but I did manage to fix and earring! I just bought these and the little hook thing came off and instead of just putting it the side and being sad about it, I took action.
Yes, I even have 7 more hooks to spare. And it was less than $2 to fix!

What do you think? No, seriously, I want to know. That's why I put that comment box a the end of every post.

  1. Great job on the earrings! I love hobby lobby! Some of their scrapbooking storage items are great for MUA. Especially at 40% off! :)
