I was in NYC for 24 hours. I set out by train yesterday morning. Keeping alignment with my usual attitude toward opportunity, I was certainly going to make the most of it.
What did I do? I didn't expect to do this but I sure glad I did! I made it just in time to pop into the Makeup Show NYC. There will be a full blog post to come on this fabulousness. I think this haul definitely deserves a video post, yes?
The Makeup Show was not really part of the plan. I had originally traveled to NYC to attend The Likeable Awards. I was a finalist for Most Likeable Video Blogger.
What I loved about this trip most, (besides the great information that I learned at both events), was that I got to connect with Peggy (my Richmond MUA friend) and my pal Frank (www.jobstr.com). We always have great fun. Now, I am on the train, headed back to Richmond. Just before I started this post, I read a post from one of my favorite bloggers, MizFit. The post I read really inspired me to take action. I know, its already been an action packed day but I think this looks fun. Or scary. I'm not sure yet.
The post I read was about how finding out how others perceive your brand. What are the 3 words that other people would use to describe your brand? This should be a fun game to play...I feel like I am on the constant struggle to figure out myself, what I'm going to be when I grow up, what is my brand? Some days, I think that I know but some days I'm not sure. What do you think? What are the 3 words you would use to describe my "brand" or message or voice from my blog/vlog?
Go easy on me. Or not. I think your answers may be very inspiring. Hit me.
