BB Cream. What's up with that?

Doesn't it seem like every product line has a BB Cream now? Raise your hand if you are still trying to figure out what this means? You are not alone.

Like I said, it seems every major brand and even drugstore labels are adding BB Creams to their lines. BB stand for beauty balm or blemish base. BB creams were originally a hot item on the Asian market that have now hit the big time out West. Yes, we are slow to catch on. No need to point that out.

I like to think of this multi-functional product of the love child of your perfect skin care product, sun protection, tinted moisturizer and primer. That is a pretty amazing all in one, right!

I have tried a few of these, some I like more than others. For the past few weeks, I am using a great one by 3Lab and I am in LOVE!!! It is very light and has SPF40. I haven't worn foundation in weeks!

When I want more coverage, I use a more opaque concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes. If I want more opaque coverage, I will dust a sheer loose powder to finish. Some days, I only where this and mascara. It is so flexible! It also happens to be the first on the list of BB creams Oprah's site! You can also use this as a primer under your foundation. I have not tried this yes because I ran out of foundation just as I started using it. I need to put that on my list of things to do!

3Lab has done an incredible job creating this product. It  totally brightens, moisturizes, and protects the skin with a hint of color.

So, I was thinking about making a quick and easy summer hair/makeup video post. I have been dying to show you this BB Cream, my new favorite cheek stain, and some awesome summer eye shadows and nail polish colors I just added in. What do you think? If you guys want it, make sure to comment and I will get started even quicker!

    1. Vanessa, I recommend that you drop into Sephora and department stores and get a few samples. They all have different amounts of coverage, so you may like one and hate another one. If you want a a lighter look, its great. I will say it really doesnt last all day, so you will need to reapply or touch up after about 4 hours. You can also use it as a primer under you foundation if you want a more "done" look.

  2. Mary, I love cheek stain or liquid/cream cheek color for a sheer wash of color. If you saw my Loreal video, I used the benefit liquid cheek stain as a base under the powder cheek color for long lasting results. Most cheek stains, you can also use as a lip stain.
