Here is my tutorial on how to do a Sock Bun. I did a side version, because it was a bit easier to show you that way. All you need is a sock (cut off the toe), a pony tail holder and some hairspray. If you hair is very layered, you will either have some little pieces sticking out. I happen to like it not looking to perfect, but if you want to control those little loose pieces, you can use a few bobby pins. Then hairspray the be-jesus out of it and you are good to go!

Does it matter what material the sock is made of?
ReplyDeleteNo, not really. The thicker the sock is, it will created a larger donut, which will make the bun bigger. So if you have tons of hair and a huge, think sock, the bun will be enormous, like the picture of the model in the pic on this post above Lauren Conrad. Experiment and see which result you like better.
