Caboodles has a milestone anniversary to celebrate this year! 25 years as a household name! When I was a little girl I LOVED my Caboodle. I often, just for fun, refer to my giant professional kit as my Caboodle. If you giggle, that means you are cool enough to have grown up with one. Yep, its a test.
Caboodles is also so close to reaching 200k Facebook fans. To celebrate, they are doing a MAJOR GIVEAWAY! This giveaway is so big, there will be 25 winners! Each winner will get a prize pack of goodies, and these Caboodles will not be empty! Sponsors like ChinaGlaze, Ardell, Tan Towel and Senna Cosmetics will have some pretty sweet swag in there too. You get all this, just as a thank you for being a Caboodles fan.
Head on over to the Caboodles Facebook page here and give it a like. When the page gets to 200k, you the giveaway entry form will be accessible for all the fans to enter. Good luck everyone!
OMG I still love caboodles are you kidding how fun are they!! My fav as a kid was one that was half pink half purple and huge, I honestly wish I still had it!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I know Abbi! I had this awesome sparkly pink/purple one. I still have this one that I loved. It was like my grown up caboodle, it was (what am I saying!), is teal and it has the fancy padded lining. Ah, so chic!
DeleteTeal has somehow become my favorite color as an adult especially if it sparkles so I must admit I'm jealous :)
DeleteRIGHT! It was magnificent!
Deletehaha i was just teasing my mom for still carrying around my caboodle from elementary school! it's the pink and purple one :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom still has mine too! I don't think she takes it anywhere (like to a sleepover like I used to) but it is full of goodies!
DeleteI remember my first Caboodle. It was pink and purple and was my Easter basket one year. I think I carried my Barbies around in it:)
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome Easter basket! I love that you carried your Barbie in it that is so multi-functional!
DeleteHaha! I have my ancient turquoise caboodle sitting right here- I use it almost every day. I keep my sewing stuff in it. I love that thing! :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, that is good idea. They really are great for organizing things, makeup, craft things, anything really!
DeleteOh Caboodle! Who didn't have one!?!? Mine was pink and turquoise (had to be able to tell the difference between Pam's) and it came in my Easter basket. Other than a Barbie hauler, we carried it with us on vacations to visit family for the summer. :)
ReplyDeleteDid you keep your Barbie in your too? One day my husbands friend was at our house and he commented that my professional kit case was the biggest Caboodle he had ever seen. I asked him how he knew about Caboodles and he informed me that he has a sister (I knew that) and that all the girls brought them to summer camp. Ha, loved that.
DeleteOf course! But when we got older, it became more about hauling stuff around to camps and vacations. You can put alot of stuff in a Caboodle!
DeleteThose caboodles got some miles on them!
DeleteI'm pretty sure my Caboodle was pink and purple and filled to the brim with blue eye shadow!
ReplyDeleteI love that yours was full of blue eye shadow!
DeleteCaboodles really are the best. I had a pink & purple one too. Thought I can't remember what I put in it. I know I was far too young for makeup when I actually got it. I wish I still had it. I do still have a much, much smaller one that is all blue & sparkly...pretty amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems like everyone had a pink and purple one! That must have been all the rage! Im pretty sure we were all too young for makeup but didn't it make you feel like a big girl? I was much more organized then, when I had my Caboodle collection.
DeleteI had pink and purple too, and I think I carried my stamp collection in it. Stickers. I remember putting stickers all over that thing.
ReplyDeleteI love that you had a sticker collection! I still love stickers:)
DeleteOh wow. I LOVED me some caboodles. I carried that thing everywhere! Mine was pink and since I was too young to be *allowed* to wear makeup, I filled mine up with my grandmothers old makeup (I can still smell it...like a mixture of Chanel No. 5, Cigarettes, and Old People). Emerald green eyeshadows and bright pink blush, so when I actually wore it, I looked like a young Ru Paul. The glory days...
ReplyDeleteSounds magical, Julie! I am LOVING everyone's memories.
DeleteI wish there were more comments to read, this was the best thread EVER, I thoroughly enjoyed every ones memories as well, however my boyfriend was not as excited to hear all about my caboodles tales, his loss, lol!!
ReplyDeleteThis may be the most entertaining set of comments we've had yet! You're bf has no idea. Maye he needs a man caboodle and he would see how awesome it is! Haha
DeleteI had a fabulous coboodles. It was pink on top and purple on the bottom. I covered it in stickers because I was really into them at the time. I mostly kept scrunches and nail polish in it. I remember that it was pretty much indestructible. Wish I knew what happened to it.
ReplyDeleteWeren't we all obsessed with scunciis! And glitter and stckers and nail polish!
DeleteI remember having sleepovers as a middle schooler that we legit referred to as Caboodle Parties. We'd all show up with our pink and purple caboodles, covered in stickers of course, and filled with our Bon Bon nail polishes, wet and wild lipsticks, and more glitter than a truck full of strippers. We'd give each other makeovers, break at least 150 rules of good hygiene, inflict some 2nd degree curling iron burns, and then dare each other to call boys or prank people with three-way calling. It's a wonder we ever made it out alive ...
ReplyDeleteAwesome! "more glitter than a truck full of strippers!!!!" made my night!!!!
DeleteI introduced my daughter to her first Caboodle when she was 3 to carry her hair pretties and lip glosses in. It was a cute pink and purple one that looked like a tackle box. She is now 7 and has now evolved to the big silver one so she can fit her nail polishes and, hair pretties and lip glosses. Then she has a clear one that holds her crown :). Yesterday I found out that she never new that the box was called a Caboodle. I told her to grab that Black Caboodle and she looked at me like I had 3 heads and was speaking a foreign language. All of these years we have always called the Caboodles the "Girl Boxes"
ReplyDeleteBTW, I stumbled across your blog on Caboodle and I am so excited to look around and read your advice
ReplyDeleteThat is sooooo awesome! I love your daughter and now I need something fancy to keep my crown in! I'm inspired! So glad you could educate her on this topic:) welcome to the blog!
DeleteI remember getting my first caboodle, I was about 8. It was big and pink! It was such a big deal when I finally got it! I used it to carry all sorts of lip glosses and play makeup, and of course, my scrunchies. I thought it was the coolest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty cool!!!!
DeleteEverything went in my caboodle, makeup, notes, candy. Im just glad they never made them too big. I would have moved in
ReplyDeleteHi! I just discovered your blog through Fabzilla's blog and I love the hair advice and tips! So glad to find you! I still use Caboodle's! My initial one was all dark blue with a metal clasp and had every kind of band-aid on you could think of as well as every color of eyeshadow and lots of Love Your Nails nail polish :) because that was "cool" then lol
