You know what time it is......Fabulous Friday! Time to recap the awesome things of the week.
#1. Mothers Day
These are my babies. They INSISTED that I treat myself to a nice, fancy lady brunch. I am not one to argue! So, me and this fancy lady (who is the mother of human children) put on pretty dresses and BIG fancy sunglasses (Don't they make us look skinny?) and went to have a lovely brunch at the Boathouse.
*Caution- when dining outdoors for long periods of time, wear sunscreen.
Did you have a good mama's day? Here is my ode to my mama, in case you missed it.
#2. The Makeup Show NYC
I wasn't exactly planning to go but I managed to make it in for the last few hours of the last day.
Score! Full blog post to come!
#3. Abita and other seasonal goodness
This is the time of year (truthfully its all year but who is counting) when I get really, really homesick. I long for crawfish, beer, and spending festival season with the greatest friends in the world. There are no words for how much I miss you guys. I did find Abita Strawberry beer again this year and there is a good chance I am going to get crawfish in June. I will keep you posted.
Love always, a displaced Louisianan.
#4. Love is in the air
I attended the Likeable Awards this week. While I didn't take home the prize for Most Likeable Video Blogger, (I know, Im shocked too!), this experience made me feel like the most loved girl in the world. I can't thank you enough for all of the support and love that you sent my way. I was feeling it all the way there, so much so that I even wrote a whole post not it.
My former client and friend, Frank, met met me at the event. It is always amazing to catch up and see what another entrepreneur has bouncing around in their brain. Check out Franks's website, Jobstr.com, where you can ask people anything about their jobs. Check out my profile.
#5. I need a nap!
The last few weeks have been insane. Full of excitement and lots of work. I am, however, exhausted. I will be so happy to see June and put the month of May in the history books. Jasmine insisted that we take to the bed for at least the first part of my first day home. We lounged, caught up and had a little photo shoot. We will do lots of this in June.
At 11:02 PM on Thursday night, I am making myself stop and go to bed. Beauty sleep is crucial. I have been working on thenovel recap of last week's Fitness magazine event. So much happened that I swear it is just taking me forever. Monday, I will have it up on Monday.

Did you do your homework?
If you have already completed your homework (give me 3 words), you are on my list of favorite people. If you haven't, there is still time. This week, I asked for 3 words that you think of when you think of my brand. There is a reason behind this little exercise. I promise.
