Beauty Bar. Sample Society

For the last year, I have been blogging about Birchbox and for the last few months,  I have been having lots of fun with making videos to show you what I got ( You subscribe to the channel, right?...lets go ahead and do that now).
Well, that was fun and all but there are lots of other sample programs and I felt it was my duty to you all to go out and test a new one that we can have fun with. So I decided to try the Sample Society by Beauty Bar
This was my first month and I want to show you what I got!

Like I told you in the video, I love the little mini magazine that comes with the box. Here are some tips from mine that I thought you may like....

Make Your Lips Look Plumper
- Light colors will make your lips look fuller.
-Lip plumping products work in 2 ways. Some contain mild irritants (cinnamon or ginger) that dilate vessels causing temporary swelling. Others stimulate collagen when used regularly for 4-6 weeks.
-Lose the liner, when there is no defined edge you have the illusion of fuller lips.
-Focus your gloss or shimmer at the center of your lips to catch the light.

How to Wear Fragrance Politely
-Spray on your naked body after a shower. Then scent will come thru your clothing subtly.
-Use the same amount every day so you don't get used to the scent and start piling it on.
-Spray as close to your skin as possible so that you don't waste product to the air.

Get Sexy Beach Waves
-Start by Shampooing, then mist your beach spray all over and then dry with the nozzle pointed down.
-Use a curling wand or 1inch barrel iron. Use thicker sections, winding them away from your face. Hold the iron or wand vertically and start about 2 inches from the scalp. If you are using an iron, don't use the clamp and leave out the ends, so its not too perfect.

Eye Anti-Aging 101
-Protect against free radicals by using products with anti-oxidants (grape seed or green tea).
-If your eye creams doesnt contain at least SPF30,  wait until it is absorbed and layer on sunblock everyday.
-At night, use powerful vitamin A derivatives called retinol. This will boost collagen and elastin and minimize dark spots.

Clear Skin Made Simple
-Harsh scrubs and toners will make blemishes worse.
-Benzoyl peroxide creams are your best friend. In a pinch, make a paste using a crushed aspirin with a few drops of water. Apply to reduce swelling. You can also apply an ice cube to reduce swelling.
-At night, use retinol and glycolic acid to increase cell turn over.

The FEED Foundation (Soap.com and BeautyBar.com)
Co-founded by Lauren Bush, the FEED Foundation is dedicated to ending world hunger – one child at a time. As of 2011, the FEED Foundation, in partnership with FEED Projects, has provided 60 million free, nutritious school meals to kids around the globe. In collaboration with UNICEF and the UN World Food Programme, the organization's mission is to relieve hunger and help meet the basic nutritional needs of children, both stateside and abroad. FEED also provides food aid to natural disaster victims around the globe.
The organization recently launched FEED USA to help fund nutrition-related programs in classrooms in impoverished communities around the U.S.

American Red Cross (Casa.com)
Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.
Today, in addition to domestic disaster relief, the American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five other areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs. For more information about the American Red Cross, please go to redcross.org.
The American Red Cross name and emblem are used with its permission, which in no way constitutes an endorsement, express or implied, of any product, service, company, opinion or political position. The American Red Cross logo is a registered trademark owned by the American Red Cross.
Quidsi Inc. is supporting the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross whether it's responding to a disaster, collecting lifesaving blood, teaching skills that can save a life, or assisting our military members and their families by donating to the American Red Cross for new customers you refer to them.
Make-A-Wish Foundation® (Diapers.com)
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. One of the world's leading children's charities, the Make-A-Wish Foundation improves the quality of life for children and their families and enables children to feel happier, stronger and more confident by granting their one true wish.
With the help of generous donors and more than 25,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants a wish every 38 minutes in the United States. Visit the Make-A-Wish Foundation at wish.org and discover how you can share the power of a wish® with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Best Friends Animal Society (Wag.com)
Best Friends Animal Society is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring about a day when there are No More Homeless Pets®. By building no-kill programs and partnerships, helping animals find homes, and addressing problems at the very root of animal homelessness, Best Friends has become a leader in the animal welfare movement. But its heart and headquarters is still in the place where it all began, at the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for homeless pets in Kanab, Utah.
Here, you'll find around 1,700 homeless animals on any given day, where they get state-of-the-art medical, behavioral and emotional care in a spacious, sociable setting unlike anywhere else on earth. The vast majority of them will then move on to loving, adoptive homes, and they're welcome at the Sanctuary for as long as it takes.
In addition, Best Friends works to save the lives of homeless animals all across the country by supporting spay/neuter programs, rescuing dogs from puppy mills, running public education campaigns about the importance of animal adoption, and much more.

Save Play / KaBOOM! (Yoyo.com)
Save Play invites family-focused brands and individuals to join national non-profit KaBOOM! to help provide one million kids with great places to play this year. Children today spend less time playing outdoors than any previous generation, a fact that is having disastrous consequences on their health, achievement levels, and overall well-being. To fight this Play Deficit, social entrepreneur Darell Hammond founded non-profit KaBOOM! 15 years ago in Washington, D.C. with a vision of creating a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America. Since then, KaBOOM! has built more than 2,000 playgrounds and provides communities with online tools to self-organize and take action to support play on both a local and national level. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., KaBOOM! also has offices in Chicago and San Mateo, Calif. For more information, visit www.kaboom.org.
