On a trip to CVS last week, I picked up these two Sally Hansen items. I got the Sally Hansen Xtreme wear nail color in black out and the silver nail art pen.
Being a (hard) working stylist and makeup artist, I am super hard on my hands and nails. The polish just does not hold up to the beating that they take. I will say that this polish was super durable. It lasted a full week (on me that is a miracle) with no chips!
The pen was fun. It was interesting, a challenge for me. I thought this was a good place to start, since I am not great with free handing painting. It was much easier for me to do the left hand, which is pictured here. I liked the squiggles on my thumb and the polka dots. I ran out of ideas so I used an OPI silver glitter polish (Serving Up Sparkle) on the middle finger and the pinkie.
The right hand was much more challenging! Writing with my left hand is tough, drawing is incredibly hard. It took two tries but I did ok. Not too shabby for the first try. See practice makes better, right?

What a neat pen! Have you tried tape nail art?
ReplyDeleteIt comes in a lot of colors too! I have made super simple shapes by applying tape so that you can strategically apply the second color. Is that what you mean or is there something cooler that Im missing?
